About me
Leah Aiwohi is a teacher at Kauaʻi High School whose work spans STEM Capstone, Digital and Film Production, and Computer Science. Beyond the classroom, she contributes to statewide and national efforts to expand equitable access to computer science and AI education through leadership, educator workgroups, and policy-informed practice. Her teaching focuses on helping students design, evaluate, and use AI tools ethically, balancing technical skills with creativity, equity, and responsible decision-making. Serving a diverse student population in Hawaiʻi, she prepares learners to use AI as a collaborative partner, emphasizing transparency, originality, and human oversight. Leah is a 2002 and 2025 Kauaʻi Complex Area Teacher of the Year and a 2026 ISTE+ASCD GenerationAI Luminary Awardee.
