Shane is a passionate advocate for leveraging technology to transform teaching and learning. With nearly two decades of experience in Hawaii's education system as a classroom teacher and complex area resource teacher, he has a proven track record of driving successful technology initiatives at all levels. Currently serving as a Technology Integration Specialist for the Hawaii State Department of Education's Digital Design Team, Shane builds capacity across the tri-level system. He collaborates with leadership on strategic technology plans and delivers professional development that empowers teachers to effectively integrate innovative tools, including Google Workspace, digital infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. Shane believes in fostering a true culture of innovation, ensuring technology implementation is both practical and impactful across diverse learning environments.
